There are six of us staying at the Carlton Hotel singapore. How do we get to get to the night safari? At the night safari, do we need to go on the tram ride ? The following day we are free in the morning before leaving to malaysia by coach after lunch around 3pm.

You can get to the night safari through one of the following ways.
Briefly, in london the subway station is called the tube station. In singapore the subway is called the MRT. It is short for mass rapid transit .
Opposite Carlton and to the left of its main entrance is the Raffles City shopping mall.
In the Raffles city mall there are two starbucks. One of them is opposite the Chjimes. The other is next to the MRT entrance. Take the train to Ang Mo Kio station. From there change to bus 138 to the night safari. It should take around 45 minutes to one and a half hour to the night safari . Subject to traffic.
A quicker way, take a taxi from the Carlton hotel . Cost wise it is roughly $25 or less to get the night safari. Taxi rates are subject to ERP and peak hour surchage . ERP stands for -electronic road pricing. It is a toll gantry. This gantry gives access to different zones within and outside the city.
Another way is to take a tour. It includes two way transfer, entrance tickets, tram ride, safari guide. It leaves from the hotel around 6pm . Return time is 10pm.
Most of the night safari areas are not accessible on foot. It is advisable for you to take the 45 minutes tram. Safari tickets can be pre arranged subject to request.
